About The Feisty Brain

Hi there – I’m Erika, the founder of The Feisty Brain, and I’m so very glad you found your way here. A few things to know about me: I love growing food and beautiful plants, I think yoga is basically magic for the nervous system, and sunshine + nature make me feel alive. I’m also someone who lives for deep, soul-stretching conversations — the kind that challenge what I thought I knew and help me grow.

I’m a neurodiverse woman in a beautifully mixed ND/NT family, and I’ve spent most of my life trying to make sense of the way our brains work — the brilliance, the messiness, and the in-between. Over time, I’ve learned that we don’t need to be “fixed.” What we need is to give ourselves permission to be ourselves, and a life that meets us where we are.

My path has taken me many places: professionally, I’ve been a daycare owner, a homeschool mom, a co-director at an Agile Learning Center, a yoga teacher, an alternative education consultant, and a certified ADHD coach. But more than anything, I’m someone who knows what it’s like to “over-function” and to feel overwhelmed, ashamed, too much, or misunderstood — and I’m passionate about helping women find peace with who they are and build lives that actually work for them.

I try to live each day with honesty, integrity, authenticity, and the belief that being real is more powerful than being perfect and that doing what’s right trumps doing what’s easy (remembering that if there are no spoons that day, what’s right is resting). I don’t have all the answers, but I do bring presence, curiosity, and a deep respect for each person’s process.

If something in this resonates with you — even a little — I’d love to hear from you! Let’s be feisty together.
